Robinette Wilson is a valued member of The Barry A. Cohen Law Group with over 20 years of paralegal experience. Since joining The Barry A. Cohen Law Group in 2005, Ms. Wilson has assisted Attorney Kevin J. Darken predominantly in the areas of False Claims Act litigation and federal criminal defense matters relating to fraud. She is a National Certified Litigation Paralegal, with advanced certification in Trial Practice and has assisted at trials both in federal and state court.
In 2006, Ms. Wilson transitioned into the real estate field and became a self-employed mortgage broker and real estate agent. After spending a year in the real estate industry gathering and retaining information, Ms. Wilson is now skilled with identifying and helping resolve complex issues of mortgage fraud.
Ms. Wilson holds an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Tampa College and a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Her legal experience prior to joining The Barry A. Cohen Law Group includes ten years as an in-house insurance defense paralegal for Allstate Insurance Company. Her diverse legal experience also encompasses the areas of civil and criminal litigation, tobacco litigation, medical malpractice, and the burgeoning field of electronic discovery.
Ms. Wilson’s wealth of education and career experience over the last two decades have matured her innate attributes of self-motivation, forward thinking and detail-orientation, which are essential to success in the complex and deadline-driven environment of today’s litigation world.
