Jill Kowalski practices in the criminal and civil divisions of Cohen, Jayson & Foster.
Prior to joining Cohen, Jayson & Foster, Jill worked as a civil litigator, as a prosecutor, and for the Honorable Robert L. Hinkle, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, as a judicial law clerk. Jill possesses civil and criminal experience in state and federal court. On the civil side, Jill has experience in a wide range of practice areas, including civil rights, local government, contract, employment discrimination, and land use. On the criminal side, Jill has experience on both sides of the bench, as a prosecutor and as a judicial law clerk, with exposure to a wide variety of criminal cases. Jill possesses state appellate experience in civil and criminal matters.
Jill received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Vermont Law School, where she received several Academic Excellence Awards for obtaining the highest grade in the class and served as the Jessup International Law Moot Court Advisory Board president. Jill also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and English from Lafayette College. Jill is currently licensed to practice in Florida and Colorado
